Please join us for a very special writing workshop with poet, scholar, and professor, Monica McClure. No prior experience necessary ~ your tickets includes guarantees you a seat and tools for writing exercises.
We'll be hosting this event in the back room of our West Village Taproom called “The Snug”, an ode to spaces that were once designated secret areas in speakeasies and saloons for women to gather and organize in public space.
Monica McClure is a Brooklyn-based writer and author of the poetry collections The Gone Thing (Winter Editions, 2023) and Tender Data (Birds, LLC), which earned a starred review from Publishers Weekly, as well as several chapbooks. Her writing has been featured in the Academy of American Poets, NPR, Poetry Society of America, Poetry Foundation, The Poetry Project Newsletter, Tin House, Jubilat, Bomb Magazine, The Believer, Lambda Literary Review, and elsewhere. She has performed at MoMA, MoMA PS1, CANADA Gallery NYC, and Cage Gallery, among other venues. She teaches Poetry and Creative Writing at CUNY Hunter College and occasionally works as a “corporate creative” in the tech space.
